It can conceal the fact that you haven’t slept for many nights stressing about your ex and it can conceal the fact that you decided to go off of birth control (Who knew you could get your first bout of acne in your thirties?) If you are going through a break-up or divorce, this is the one weapon that you must have in your arsenal… even if you are naturally beautiful.

The price ranges are all over the board from drugstore brands like L’Oreal True Match ($7.99) to designer brands such as Yves Saint Laurent ($40). L’Oreal True Match has gotten great reviews, however, most of my friends swear by Laura Mercier ($28) because it is two-toned and it is great for blending.

I use Mac ‘Pro Longwear’ concealer ($16.50) and apply it with a brush. Bobbi Brown has a great instructional video of how to choose a color and how to apply with a brush. I think she goes way overboard with how much she applies though. You don’t want it to be noticeable, you just want it to hide those dark circles that say “I haven’t had enough sleep, I can’t handle my liquor like I used to, and I’m eating too much crap.”

You can also use it to erase those zits that popped up three months after you foolishly decided to go off of birth control because you swore you would never have sex again. It’s like real-life Photoshop. Now if only it could erase cellulite…
